Tert-Butyl Hydroquinone (TBHQ)
Product characteristics：
Tert-Butyl Hydroquinone(TBHQ) is an international recognized new and high effective edible

lipin antioxidant, its molecular formula is C10H14O2. GuangYi TBHQ can prevent or stay the

lipin oxidation effectively, it has the bacteriostatic activity concurrently, so it can

prolong food storage life greatly.
Use area:
Fats and oils and fat emulsions, Canned nuts and seeds,Pre-cooked noodles and

rice,Biscuit,Cured not-heat teated processed meat,poultry and game products,Dried fish and

fish products, Fried food,Baker/Fried nuts.
The propositional dosage:
According to GB2760,the maximum is 0.2g/kg.
Usage:
1. Direct method: Add TBHQ into the food ingredient and mix evenly; or preheat the lipin to

60～90℃,add TBHQ and stir them to dissolve evenly.
2. Proportion method: To confect 5% TBHQ solution according to the direct method,then add

the solution directly into the lipin in the proportion of 4g/kg, and stir until it

distributes evenly.
3.Spray or dipping method: Fore canned nuts and seeds,Bakery/fried nuts,cured non-heat

treated processed meat,poultry and game products,dried fish and fish products,dissolve TBHQ

in edible alcohol in the proportion of 5g/kg,then spray it evenly on the surface of products

or dip the products in the solution.

Storage:
Preserved in shady, cool, dry and airproof condition, forbid deposing with the toxicant.
Shelf life：18 months
Cautions:
1. If this product is used with the citric acid, vitamin C or other antioxidants,It would

produce synergy.
2. It would turn to pink in the existence of strong alkali,Please do not use under the

condition of strong alkali.
